'Louboutin Shades' app from Christian Louboutin

When it comes to shoes, Christian Louboutin is redefining the once vague term 'nude'.

Too long have flesh-coloured shoes only catered for a small demographic of light-skinned women, and last month Louboutin addressed this situation by launching his new Nudes shoes, designed to match a wider range of skin colours.

In an ingenious move to promote this new line, Christian Louboutin has released a clever app that helps determine which shade of nude shoe is right for you.

To use the app, simply use your mobile device to take a picture of your foot, pick one of the five styles of shoe, then scroll through the five shades of nude until you find the perfect match for your skin.

Every woman knows that a nude shoe can create the illusion of longer legs, and with this new range women from all over the world can find the perfect shoe to match their skin tone. The colours range from a porcelain ivory shade through to a rich brown tone with various other shades in between.

Louboutin said of the range, "The shoes are there to give a woman an extra lift...they disappear like magic and become a fluid extension of her legs, as in a sketch, elongating the silhouette."

This app has created a positive feeling about the brand among its users, as Louboutin is providing a more helpful product to help women find their perfect shade and creating an alternative to the to previously isolating white 'nude' of the past. As one user, 1smores, said in her review, "As an African-American, I've longed for a pair of nude pumps to really match my skin tone. I'm so excited that Louboutin has recognized and pioneered a new direction for nude pumps and tapped into a new market of consumers!"

This kind of positive user experience is exemplary of how luxury brands can find new ways to address the problems faced by their customers. By providing an easy-to-use app, modern women can interact with the Louboutin brand to find their perfect nude shoe. Thanks Christian!
